2019 Cal State Omaha Poll – Week 14

Not much movement at the top of the poll but a few enter while three dropped out. Some highlights:

  • UCLA stays No. 1
  • East Carolina breaks into the top 5
  • Indiana, NC state and Dallas Baptist enter
  • Missouri, Ole Miss and Florida State drop out

Records are through games completed May 19th.

1. UCLA: 45-8 (Last week ranked 1)
Swept Washington over the weekend and have won eight in a row
2. Vanderbilt: 45-10 (Last week ranked 2)
Swept Kentucky and enters SEC tournament as the No. 1 seed
3. Stanford: 39-10 (Last week ranked 3)
1-1 vs. Oregon State with Saturday’s game canceled
4. East Carolina: 42-13 (Last week ranked 6)
4-0 on the week with wins over Campbell and a sweep over Memphis
5. Georgia: 42-14 (Last week ranked 8)
Swept Alabama and gets the No. 3 seed in the SEC tournament
6. Texas Tech: 36-15 (Last week ranked 4)
Won two of three vs. TCU and faces Kansas State first round of the Big 12 tournament
7. Arkansas: 40-15 (Last week ranked 5)
Lost the series at Texas A&M and still secured the No. 2 seed in the SEC tournament
8. Mississippi State: 45-11 (Last week ranked 7)
Won the South Carolina series at home and enters SEC tournament as the No. 4 seed
9. UC Santa Barbara: 44-7 (Last week ranked 9)
Swept Hawaii and claimed portion of the Big West crown with three games vs. Cal Poly to win it outright
10. Oregon State: 35-16-1 (Last week ranked 10)
1-1 at Stanford with Saturday’s game canceled
11. Oklahoma State: 32-17 (Last week ranked 13)
Swept Baylor 2-0 with the final game canceled
12. Miami (Fla): 38-17 (Last week ranked 12)
Won the series at home vs. Duke and earned the No. 4 seed in the ACC tournament
13. Texas A&M: 34-18-1 (Last week ranked 16)
Won the series vs. Arkansas and will face Florida to open the SEC tournament
14. Georgia Tech: 38-16 Last week ranked 15)
Won the series with Pitt and the Yellow Jackets get the No. 2 seed in the ACC tournament
15. Louisville: 43-13 (Last week ranked 17)
Won two of three vs. Florida State and earned the No. 1 seed in the ACC tournament
16. North Carolina: 38-17 (Last week ranked 11)
Lost two of three at home to NC State and fall
17. LSU: 34-22 (Last week ranked 18)
Won the series with Auburn and take on South Carolina in the SEC tournament
18. Baylor: 32-13 (Last week ranked 14)
Swept by Oklahoma State and will face Oklahoma in their first game in the Big 12 tournament
19. NC State 41-15 (Last week unranked)
Won two of three vs. the Tar Heels and earned the No. 3 seed in the ACC tourney
20. Indiana 36-19 (Last week unranked)
Finished the regular season by sweeping Rutgers and enters the Big 10 tournament as the No. 1 seed
21. Illinois: 36-17 (Last week 21)
Won two of three vs. Michigan State and earns No. 3 seed in the Big 10 tournament
22. Tennessee: 38-18 (Last week ranked 24)
Won the series vs. Ole Miss to earn No. 9 seed in the SEC tournament
23. Dallas Baptist: 38-16 (Last week unranked)
Won the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and earned the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament
24. Arizona State: 36-15 (Last week ranked 20)
1-1 at Cal this weekend and the Sun Devils haven’t won a weekend series since mid-April
25. Michigan: 38-16 (Last week ranked 19)
Lost the mid-week to Kentucky and lost two of three to Nebraska.

Dropped out:
Missouri 34-21-1 (Last week ranked 22)
Swept by Florida at home and quickly drop out of the top 25

Florida State: 35-20 (Last week ranked 23)
Lost two of three vs. Louisville and will need to make some noise in the ACC tournament to reach the post season

Ole Miss: 33-23 (Last week ranked 24)
Saturday’s win vs. Tennessee stops a six game losing streak
